Paragraph Response: Katniss Vs Tris

From the two novels, Katniss from The Hunger games and Tris from Divergent, these characters share similar traits but Katniss is by far the stronger competitor. In the novel, Katniss has a lot more experience than Tris who just started to learn to shoot guns while Katniss has been hunting her whole life with a bow and an arrow. Katniss has more accuracy than Tris and Katniss also uses the bow which needs more skills to aim and shoot while a gun needs just aiming skills and shoots easily; Katniss’s skills are excellent, she shoots squirrels right in the eye and complimented by Peeta’s father (Collins ). Katniss is braver than Tris since Katniss sacrificed for her sister to live. She volunteered for her sister Prim while knowing that she will surely die (Collins 21) while Tris jumped off the building knowing that she won’t die and that it’s just a Dauntless test(Roth 29 PDF). Katniss shows more bravery than Tris. Katniss’s situation is far more risky than Tris’s by how katniss’s life is more challenging to live by because of how poor she is while Tris is living in a middle class household with healthy food in her belly every day. Katniss has to fight other 23 people in the arena alone while Tris just has to fight to just win the other person but not kill them or being killed like being knocked out by Al. Overall, Katniss is way ahead than Tris, the stronger competitor is obviously Katniss not Tris.
