Paragraph Response: Katniss v.s Tris - Hannah

From the fictional book Divergent (Roth) and The Hunger Games (Collins) out of Katniss and Tris. Katniss is the stronger competitor because she has had more experience than Tris in fighting, is brave, and she has also overcome many trials in her life. Katniss has been taught how to hunt ever since she was a child as mentioned on pg.? . She has been trained to use a bow an arrow to hunt and she has been hunting to provide for her family to keep them alive. While Tris had only just begun her training at the Dauntless faction and is still learning she also doesn't know how to survive on her own as she was not taught to and doesn't know how to hunt even if she can use a gun. Katniss is proficient with both a knife and a gun as mentioned in page. she is also decent at hand to hand combat but Tris’ aim is not really good and doesn't really have power in her attacks as mentioned in page.? . Katniss is braver than Tris because she volunteered for the Hunger Games fully knowing that she was going to die but even though Tris had to jump of a building she knew that it was a scare tactic that the Dauntless used. Katniss had also signed up for tesserae which are supposed to increase her chances of getting picked for the Hunger Games but Tris did not need to do that she had a choice that she could make and she chose it that s why Katniss is braver than Tris. Katniss has led a harsher life because she had to survive almost starving to death but even so she had managed to get bread and bring it back for her family and herself, she sells thing in the black market so she could get enough food for her family, her dad who was very precious to her died in an mine explosion and as said on pg.? as long as she can find herself she won’t die as she is named after an edible plant name Katniss. Tris had led a normal life she had never had to starve as there was always food for her, none of her family members had died, and also she just goes to school no hunting or having to put in any tesserae. All these are reasons that make Katniss stronger than Tris.  Katniss has had more experience fighting, is more courageous, and she has led an unpleasantly rough life.
