Hunger games film techniques (Jo)
In the movie, The Hunger Games uses different film techniques to create a scene and mood such as camera angles, sound effects, colour and music. The angle of the camera and it’s movements is really effective and can change the scene like when Katniss and her mother are talking at the house, the camera angle focuses on Katniss’s point of view and the camera is really still which creates a scene where they are talking calmly. Or when Katniss volunteered for Primrose, as she was walking towards the stage the camera is moving around along with Katniss which creates a shocking and uncalm scene. The 2nd technique the Hunger Games used was sound effects which could change the mood like when Katniss volunteered and stood there facing the crowd, there was silence which represents a sad moment of respect. Another technique that was used is color which is not particularly well known but in the Hunger Games, Effie came from the Capital to the reaping ceremony and she was wearing bright pinkish purple with white makeup on her skin while the people of the district wore torn uniforms with gray color or not so bright colors. It is saying that Effie is from the Capital which is different from those of District 12. Another major and common technique that was used is music. In The Hunger Games, the music changes from when Katniss was taken to the train from her district to when she is at the capital in a high tech room and basically the music changes all the time according to the mood the author or director wants to create. The Hunger Games used these techniques which worked together at times and sometimes alone and it strongly creates emotion we should feel and the mood of the situation which is highly effective.

- You use TREE very good and explaining your reasons with a strong ending
ReplyDelete- I think that you should include transitions from your first reason to your second reason.
