Who is Leo Tolstoy?

On this day, a famous writer was born. His name is Leo Tolstoy.

Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy was born on September 9th, 1828, in Tula, Russia. He was (and is) always known as a famous Russian writer who basically wrote novels and short stories. Some of his famous stories are "War and Peace", which is his first book he wrote in the 1860s. He also wrote "Anna Karenina", which is his second book. Both "Anna Karenina" and "War and Peace" are known as two of the greatest books of all time. Not just books, people also consider Tolstoy as one of the greatest novelist of all time. Besides writing novels and short stories, he also wrote plays and essays. Some of his "nonviolent war" books also had an impact on some famous people like Martin Luther King Jr or Mohandas Gandhi. He died in November 20th, 1910. He had really great beard :D
